Catering
Planning a wedding reception dinner can vary in cost, depending on where the reception is held and the type of meal served. Will you offer a sit-down dinner or a buffet? Will you offer more than one meat, vegetable and salad, or will you serve hors d’oeuvres?
We suggest you ask the following questions: 1) What type of meal do you have in mind? 2) Can you personalize the menu? 3) What is your total budget for the dinner, and what is the cost per guest? 4) Can you sample the foods you are requesting? 5) Who provides the plates, silverware and linens? 6) Who is responsible for the set-up and clean-up? 7) Does the fee include tax, gratuity, and security charges? 8) How far in advance will the food be prepared? 9) How many extra meals will be available for additional guest that show up unexpectedly? 10) When is the deadline for the headcount?
In general, you will want to match the formality of the reception and dinner to the formality of your wedding.
