Flowers are one of the more visible aspects of any wedding. Whether you carry them, wear them or use them in decorating the church or reception hall, they can definitely brighten the spirit of the occasion.

At first you may be overwhelmed by all the directions you can take with flowers and decorations, but with a little research you can narrow the field and quickly make your choice.

Florists are professionals and will transform numerous natural materials into reality, thus meeting your expectations. When working with florists be specific with your requests. Don’t assume they know what you want.

Every florist that provides flowers for wedding ceremonies and receptions has a collection of pictures depicting their creativity in arranging and making bouquet’s, etc. We suggest you review the florist’s work and then have them help you create your order.

The following are suggestions when working with and choosing a florist: 1) What is the formal wear or attire for the wedding, and what are the colors? It may be helpful to have material swatches or photos available when choosing colors. 2) There a numerous wedding books having excellent pictures to share with the florist. 3) What are the rules regarding flowers and decorating at the church and reception hall? 4) Fragrance should always be kept in mind, as some flowers are more fragrant than others. Always be aware of any allergies to flowers among your wedding party and family. 5) Provide the florist with a list of all wedding party participants, family members, associated guests and any arrangements needed for decorating. 6) Provide the florist with your budget.
