Debbie's Wedding Planner

Photography

Your wedding will be the single most important day in your life, and a social event for all your guests. It may be hard to imagine what memories you’ll cherish 50 years from now, but you must plan now just how you want to remember it. The more moments you capture before, during and after the wedding, the more memories you’ll share together for a lifetime.

Photographs are the primary means of capturing the day’s activities, so plan to do little research when choosing your photographer. Each take pictures differently, each inserting their creativity into your pictures. Your job is to find out whose creative talents accurately reflect your personality. Some photographers only do still shots, and some combine a variety of still and candid shots. Be sure to specify exactly what type of photo’s you prefer, and how much you are willing to spend.

You’ll want to ask the photographers about package deals, where you get a specified number of pictures (formal or candid), color or black & white, or a combination of the two. How many hours will they spend taking pictures of you and the wedding party? Most wedding pictures are taken prior to the ceremony, because this is when everyone looks their best. Lastly, ask the photographer if you receive all pictures in the package, including the proofs.
