Reception Halls

Immediately after scheduling the church, securing the Reception Hall is the next step in planning your wedding. You’ll likely find that many Reception Halls are booked far in advance of a wedding, sometimes as long as 18 - 24 months, so do not put this important task off.

A reception and dinner can be held at a private residence, a public park, at a hotel, community banquet hall, or even at the church.

The follow should be considered when securing a reception hall: 1) How close is it to the church? The further it is away from the church, the greater the chance for loosing guests. 2) Is the location available on the date you want? 3) What is the facilities capacity? 4) What is the dinner cost per guest? 5) What is their policy on deposits, refunds, cleaning, security, or cancellation, etc.? 6) What is the parking situation? 7) What is their policy on alcohol? 8) Is there adequate power for lighting, sound and entertainment? 9) When can you set-up/decorate and when must you clean up?
